Someone asked me a question about the drop shipping of Budgetgadgets.com .

Are you the manufacture or just a normal middleman? without any products stock?
No, we are a middleman, but we have our warehouse stock.
But still sometimes some products can be out of stock, because as a seller, we are not sure what products can be a best seller, so we couldn't stock many for every product, but usually 10 pieces should be in the stock, for good sellers, have more stock like 20 or 30 pieces, if some products usually don't sell well, we will only have several in stock, also for high price products, we also don't stock that many pieces. Because stock many for each product really need a lot budget. So, sometimes some popular products are out of stock because it sells very good, some bad products are out of stock because originally don't stock many pieces, that's the case. Our purchasers go to the manufacture everyday, If something is out of stock, there are two possibilities: first: The manufature still have many stock, we directly got more from the manufacture if our stock is out, this will be sent out within 2 days. Second: the manufacture also don't have in stock, this will have a long delay like one week, during which, the manufacture will product more.
So, that's the general case. I personally think: if you are a ebay seller, this can be a problem for drop ship. But if you choose the newly online products, the stock shouldn't be a problem, example, recently got many new iPhone 5 cases online, as they are most searched in google and best seller recently, so the manufacture will produce many thousands of pieces to provide many companies, so if you are doing drop ship, choose new products rather than old products should be fine.
